James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Clean, fresh and moderately intense cherry and plum fruit; crisp acidity, but not particularly complex.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Light- to medium-bodied; silky smooth plum and black cherry fruit; beautifully made, but lacks the fruit intensity for maximum points.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Very light red-purple; the clean, light cherry/cherry stone/spice aromas of the bouquet are followed by a palate which moves decisively to the tangy/savoury end of the spectrum. Plenty of finesse, but not much flesh on the bones, despite 13.5° alcohol.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium purple-red; perfumed bouquet with ripe plum, five spice and scented powder aromas, then a palate with impressive depth and complexity, ranging through dark plum and forest. Truly excellent value.
