Champagne Bauchet Reserve Brut Premier Cru

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The Bauchet (pronounced 'Boo-shay') family have been buying vineyards and making wine in Champagne for over 90-years, and this bubbly represents their top non-vintage offering. Made from 60% pinot noir and 40% chardonnay, it displays red fruits and pears on the nose, with a hint of florals and nuttiness. The palate is full-bodied and rounded with a nice line of citrus acidity, a fine bubble, and a dry, lingering length.

Winemaker's Notes

This Reserve wine is an elegant full-bodied champagne. Being Bauchet's top non-vintage label, this blend includes aged material adding to the complexity. The finish on the wine is spectacularly long and refreshing leaving you wanting more.

This flaxen-gold champagne has regular effervescence, producing a peripheral stream of bubbles that denotes its rich fullness. Its complex nose has a prevailing delicate floral character reminiscent of hawthorn and linden.

This is a very pleasing wine on the palate, progressively asserting its structure and substance with an underlying impression of fresh almonds.

60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir.
