Champagne Delamotte Brut

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

For one of the best value Champagnes going round, you just can not beat Delamotte. Sister house of Salon, one of the grandest of them all, Delamotte also produces a very subtle and refined style. Complex yeast aromas with a firm yet truly fine palate - this is the stuff of legends.

Winemaker's Notes

A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier, this is marked by its power devoid of any aggressiveness, its pleasant freshness, it fullness and clean, fruity finish. A lively light gold colour, with great purity on the nose, along with notes of citrus, hawthorn and acacia blossom. Excellent aperitif style

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock says
The entry-level Delamotte is one of the livelier NV styles. Quite a confident, zesty and pristine nose, with ripe grapefruit, almonds and chalky aromas here. Stylishly arranged on the palate; it starts out with zesty attack, building layers of musky flavour through the middle, fine citrus, long finish.

Warm, toasty style with nice balance of yeast and fruit characters and a drying finish.
