Nick Stock says
An atypical style for the house, being 100% chardonnay, this cuvee's history dates back to 1882, when they made a private Cramant bottling. The nose is all about chardonnay's charm, with white flowers, sweet, yeasty notes, fresh-baked brioche, peach and citrus; a little oyster-shell chalkiness too. The palate's fine and zesty (they bottle this at lower pressure than the rest of their Champagnes), really precise and even - brilliantly creamy, dry and fluffy. Distinctive and precise.
