Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Rose
A bit of pink bubbles seems to put a smile on the dial of most people, and this is good value for a Rose Champagne! Aromas of strawberries and raspberries fill the nasal passages, along with stone fruits, buttered toast and a touch of savouriness. The palate is quite dry, but again probably more on the sweeter side of brut, with more red fruit and bready flavours, a creamy texture, fine bubbles, and a decent chalky finish.
A deliciously fruity blend. A selection of several cru wines creating Champagne of great freshness and elegance.
Appearance: Silver-tinged salmon-pink, with a steady ribbon of fine bubbles.
Nose: Red fruit aromas. Intense, developing notes of blueberry, blackcurrant and raspberry.
Palate: Delicate on the palate, fluid, underpinned by an extremely fine bead. Fruity finish.
Food: Aperitif: Salmon and avocado blinis
Starter: Chicken and vegetable samosas
Main: Pork Nuoc-Mam with soy beans
Dessert: Gariguette strawberry souffle tart
For an aperitif, best served at 7 - 8°C. With food, best served at 10 - 12°C.
