Champagne Pierre Gerbais Reserve Brut

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

A typically characterful grower Champagne showing the extra layer of intensity and flavour that most 'big house' Champagnes can lack. Complexity and power to burn here, all in an entirely well priced package.

Winemaker's Notes

A champagne blend par excellence. It combines the delicacy of white grape varieties to the power of Pinot Noir. The result is a wonderfully complex nose and palate. This champagne is balanced, generous on the nose and delicate on the palate.

Champagne Pierre Gerbais Reserve Brut

Expert Reviews

Ben Thomas says
A blend of chardonnay (75 per cent) and pinot noir, 80 per cent of this family producer’s wine is consumed in France and only a small amount makes it to our shores. It has an elegant and complex bouquet, with new-season’s red apple, nectarine, lemon biscuit, yeast and vanilla on the nose, which are mirrored with subtle concentration on the palate. With an even structure that’s built around an assertive yet gentle line of acid and drying grip, it has length to burn.
