If you want a change from Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc why not get a taste of the old world for something new? This Sauvignon Blanc is not such a flavour hit as its new world counterparts, showing a more mineral like aspect alongside the classic flavours of citrus and passion fruit. The palate is nicely textured with bright lime fruit and a chalky mouthfeel. It would naturally team well with a goats cheese and caramelised onion tart.
The sites for the Sauvignon Blanc are higher, cooler thus enabling
the retention of the finer acidity found in these wines. Whilst modern,
care is taken that each wine does not lose its traditional and
unmistakable regional Languedoc – Southern French character.
Appearance: Pale yellow with a hint of green.
Nose: A varietally expressive nose with the subtlety of a delicate
florals, snow pea with citrus.
Palate: The palate is elegant with lovely crisp acidity, a chalky
minerally texture and fresh citrus and herbal notes. Soft hints of herbal
and tropical fruit matched to the minerality add complexity to this
wine and set it apart from most other Sauvignon Blancs from other
famous wine regions.
