Chanterives Bourgogne Blanc Chardonnay

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Sourced from the Burgundy regions of Mercurey and Maranges, this is quite a steely style of wine, with only a whiff of toastiness giving away a touch of oak treatment. There's lots of citrus in the lemon and lime spectrum on the nose, which shows in the palate flavours, along with a lick of toast and saltiness adding to the intrigue. The finish is crisp and clean, and it would be great with some grilled white fish.

Winemaker's Notes

Cherry red. Clean, fresh and earthy on the nose. One of those rare wines where ‘earthy’ is not a euphemism for funky; it really does smell of freshly turned earth. Intense cherry fruit too. Lovely pure, simple Burgundian Pinot.
