Chard Farm Blacksmith's Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (1999 Vintage) says
The debut 1999 vintage was grown in the home vineyard at Gibbston and matured in French oak casks (15 per cent new). A middleweight Central Otago red, ruby-hued, with true Pinot Noir characters of cherries and spice, it is not intense, but offers some savoury, nutty complexity, with a slightly crisp finish. (Now that the Bragato label has been phased out, from the 2001 vintage onwards the estate-grown Blacksmith's Pinot Noir will be one of Chard Farm's top reds).
