Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2007 Vintage) says
The ripely scented 2007 vintage is a delicious wine, blended from estate-grown, Gibbston grapes, supplemented by fruit from a grower at Cromwell. Softly mouthfilling, with gentle acidity, it has ripe flavours of citrus fruits, lychees and spices, showing excellent varietal definition, delicacy and depth.

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
The 2003 vintage is a blend of grapes grown in the Chard Farm home block at Gibbston and at Cromwell. A dryish style (5 grams/litre of residual sugar), it is richly perfumed, fresh and lively, with gently sweet, lychees and spice flavours, showing good depth.

Michael Cooper (2001 Vintage) says
Still youthful, the 2001 vintage is weighty and dry, with fresh, ripe, delicate flavours of lychees and spice, balanced acidity and a lingering finish. Open mid-2003 onwards.
