Like Milo and Otis, there are few greater partnerships than Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Better still, the blend is rather uniquely Australian too, with some of Australia's most famous wines over the last 50 years made from this combination.
Here we see Cabernet Shiraz in absolute top form, with very rich fruit flavours (thanks in no part to the magical 2010 vintage) and super sexy oak.
The sublime Summer of 2010 was so conducive to the slow and gentle ripening of our grapes that we decided to remake an old favourite.
We are delighted to welcome back Saint C Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz - an elegant wine revealing the noble characterises of both classic varieties.
Reviews and Accolades
"(60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% shiraz): Glass-staining purple. Smoky blackcurrant and blueberry on the nose, with subtle spice and floral qualities adding complexity. Fleshy and sweet, with deep dark berry preserve and floral pastille flavors, supple texture and bright mineral lift. Finishes with excellent, spicy persistence, gentle tannins and lingering florality." 92 Points - Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar
