Chateau de Sours Bordeaux Rose

Out of Stock

Cracka Review

A vibrant pale pink rosé with red berry fruit aromas and strawberries and cream on the palate. It’s full and rich and refreshing acidity with a long, dry finish. This rosé is often proclaimed as one of the best in the world.

Appearance: Pale strawberry rose colour.

Nose: Fine, clean and intense fresh fruit flavours which develop further soft red berry fruit.

Palate: Surprisingly full and rich but balanced by a lovely refreshing acidity and a long dry finish.

Cellaring: Drink until next vintage.

Alcohol: 12.5%

Ken Gargett (2006 Vintage) says
I know as much about marketing as Paris Hilton does about the simple life but no one, absolutely no one, will convince me it is a good idea to call a wine Sours. The wine itself is lovely, a terrific French rose from the Bordeaux region, and I kind of wonder if an Australian made it. It just seems so new world: fresh, fragrant, floral, raspberry-scented and spicy, with a pleasant little flick of acidity on the finish to make it a great all-round package. Love it.
