Now, here's something you don’t see everyday - a wine from Mongolia! It's a very medium-bodied style of wine made from cabernet gernischt, which is thought to be related to cabernet franc. It shows forest fruits on the nose, along with a touch of leafiness and cherries. The palate is lively and fruity, with soft tannins, friendly acidity and a velvety finish. It's dead easy to drink and would be great with black bean pork.
Our vinyards are located near Wuhai, in the western part of Inner Mongolia. This is where the Yellow River Valley separates the deserts of Kubuqi and Wulanbuhe. The unique climate of Wuhai is ideal for growing grapes. Our grapes are free of artificial or chemical fertilisers, pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. Both our grapes and our wine obtained the China AA certification for organic food and green food in 2007.
This dry red wine comes from grapes grown on Helan Mountain, Wuhai.
Aged for more than two years in French barrel this wine is a dark red ruby colour with a harmony of flavour. Suitable for business banquets.
