James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Deep colour; an upmarket variant of Lambrusco. Quite how and where I would wish to drink it is a difficult question; it is chock-full of fruits of the forest, chocolate and spice, and the overall balance is far better than I could have imagined. Strangely fascinating.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Good depth and hue for age. Hmmm - not hard to see why this already has 6 years in bottle, for it has the tannins of an octopus, simultaneously grabbing all corners of the mouth: so for a start, food is essential. Once at hand/this could be a seriously interesting wine.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Good colour; firm, fruit-driven wine with plum and black cherry fruit; long palate, needs to soften a bit.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Spotlessly dean; bright red and black cherry and raspberry fruit; excellent tannin structure and balance. Impressive.

James Halliday says
The sweetness (35 grammes per litre) is more evident than the CO2 spritz, but in the end result the balance is good, the jam/coulis flavours not too high. Not everyone's cup of tea, perhaps.
