Churton Marlborough Viognier

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
From a north-east-facing slope above the Waihopai and Omaka Valleys, the Churton viognier shows fine aromas of apricot kernel, lime and grapefruit, with flashes of nectarine richness. Hints of clotted cream, grilled nuts and white flowers add to the complexity. Subtle oak blends in well and the finish lingers nicely with balance and energy.

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
The debut 2010 vintage was estate-grown and hand-picked in the Waihopai Valley, and fermented and lees-aged in French oak casks. An off-dry style (10 grams/litre of residual sugar), it is sturdy (over 14.5 per cent alcohol), complex and creamy, with vibrant, youthful, peachy, citrusy flavours, showing good concentration, and a rounded finish.
