If top notch Barbera is what you are looking for, here is one to get your palate racing. Made by top La Morra winery, Ciabot Berton, the fruit comes from 60-year old vines, so this is an intense little number. Medium to full-bodied in style, it shows lush, fleshy black fruits on the nose with a touch of dried roses. The palate is fruit-driven and very more-ish, with a lick of roasted nuts and soft, savoury edged tannins before the long, dry finish. It's a real food wine, and would be great with a rich spag bog.

Winemaker's Notes

Intense ruby red color of with purple reflexions. The nose is an aroma rich with ripe fruit and hints of jam. The taste is complex, very fruity with toasted taste well harmonized with the body of the wine, Very persistant finish.

Food: It is ideal for pasta dishes with substantial sauces, white and red meat entrees and cheeses.
