Classique de Clairmont, Crozes-Hermitage

Cracka Review

The red Crozes-Hermitage is made of a combination of two soil types, clay–limestone hillsides and shallow sandy-clay alluvial terraces. The vines are thirty years old. After the grapes are destemmed, the blocks are fermented separately. The maceration phase lasts up to 20 days. The wines are bottled after a 16-month ageing period.

Appearance: Deep maroon in colour, clear and bright.

Nose: An opulent nose displaying cloves and roses.

Palate: The palate is both graceful and harmonious showing fine tannins with generous fresh strawberry fruits alongside white pepper and black tea. A proud and true expression of Syrah.
