Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 'gloriously oaky' 2009 vintage was hand-picked at Te Awanga and fermented with indigenous yeasts in new American and one-year-old French oak barriques. An easy-drinking style with some complexity, it is mouthfilling, with good depth of fresh, ripe tropical-fruit flavours, strongly seasoned with toasty oak, and an off-dry (6 grams/litre of residua] sugar)

Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
Tightly structured, very fresh and lively, the 2008 vintage was hand-harvested at Te Awanga and fermented in new American and one-year-old French oak barriques. Youthful, with strong tropical-fruit flavours, a slight herbal undercurrent, oak-derived richness and complexity, and a crisp, lingering finish, it's well worth cellaring.
