Cracka Review

Tassie pinot noir is kicking a lot of goals lately, and this offering from Clemens is at a pretty good price point if you are a newbie to the wonders of Tassie pinot. Attractive, fragrant aromas of red stone fruits and soft spices adorn the nose with just a sniff of roses. The palate is medium-bodied and quite fruity with cherry and strawberry flavours, supple tannins, and a dry, juicy finish.

Winemaker's Notes

Cherries and dark berries, plums and spiciness. Neat acidity added to fine tannins provides a palate that is tight with a great line throughout.

Strong, full crimson-purple; the bouquet has rich plum and black cherry characters, the expansive palate taking these to another level, and adding a nice savoury/earthy touch, oak evident, but balanced. Gold medal Tas Wine Show '10.

Clear red-purple; a classy and complex bouquet features stylish oak handling, the ripe, plummy fruit coming through strongly on the similarly complex palate, rounded off with lovely savoury tannins. A top class act from go to whoa. Richly deserved gold medal 2003 Tasmanian Wines Show.
