James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Even deeper gold-green than the varietal; the bouquet is very rich but has no rough edges, the multi-layered palate supple and sustained by good acidity; multi-clone fruit and 14 months in oak doubtless contribute to the result, but, as with the varietal, would less have been more?

Has every bit as much flavour as the varietal, but with more finesse and length to the stone fruit flavour that ripples to the lingering finish.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Matches and marries finesse and complexity; never easy; finely focused citrus and melon fruit with a delicate supporting web of French oak; long finish.

WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Projects rich, complex, buttered toast-like aromas. Lovely weighty palate with intense citrus/stone-fruit flavours, excellent oak and fresh, crisp acidity.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
A very complex bouquet, with Burgundian funk, but entirely positive and controlled; an intense and tight palate, revelling in its low alcohol and controlled oak.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Tight and fine, much more elegant than the varietal release; great length and acidity; has eaten up the new oak.
