Soave specialists Coffele step up to the plate with this oaked version of soave. Made from 100% garganega, it is quite complex on the nose showing aromas of ripe stone fruits, anise spice and dried herbs, with a lick of vanilla and honey. The mouthfeel is rounded, dry and rich with sweet, earthy spices, soft citrus acidity and a mineral finish. It's drinking very well now, and will stand up to richer white meat dishes.
Appearance: Deep yellow with hints of gold.
Nose: An intriguing nose that seduces with its gradual evolution. One can pick up the aromas of ginestra, thyme, yellow peach and susina. Sweet spices and vanilla.
Tasting notes: On the palate, the wine is dry with hints of smoke and pepper around a rich, silky core. The oak is impeccably integrated.
Food: Ideal with a hearty soup or with aromatic cheeses that have been semi-aged. It is also recommended to try this wine with dark meat, like pheasant, served with a hot or spicy gravy.
