Coombe Farm Cabernet Merlot

Expert Reviews

Jeremy Oliver (2008 Vintage) says
Jammy, sweet and herbaceous, with light aromas of berries, violets and cedary oak backed by profoundly vegetal influences. With some bright forward fruit, it then becomes quite lean and skinny, lacking genuine depth and structure, finishing rather green-edged. Not up to this label's usual high standard.

Jeremy Oliver (2006 Vintage) says
A gentle, fine and elegant cabernet whose dusty aromas of sweet small berries, cherries and fresh cedar/vanilla oak are backed by floral nuances. It's supple and silky, with lively sweet red and black berry flavours knit with fine-grained oak, finishing with length and harmony but a with slight herbaceous and a greenish, sappy edge to its tannin.
