Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
Dark-purple colour - almost shiraz-like depth of colour here. The nose offers up sappy, rich pinot fruits: cherries and boysenberry, plenty of cinnamon and fragrant eastern spice - a really striking wine. The palate tastes of blueberry and plum - really assertive East Coast Tasmanian style - cloaked in fine light tannins and a nicely balanced resolve. Plenty to like here.

Lovely richness and warmth here - this is showing some handy poise and grace with ripe, dark cherries and nicely placed oak in the mix. The palate's carrying sweet, soft cherry and berry fruit, hints of tobacco and a smooth tannin ride. Nice balance and very approachable now.

Strong colour heralds a powerful wine with black plum fruits and a long, firm finish; will richly repay five years' cellaring.
