This is Coopers Creek's most popular red wine. The ruby-hued 2002 vintage is based mainly on Havelock North grapes and was matured for six months in American and French oak casks. Raspberry and spice aromas lead into a fresh, vibrantly fruity wine with good depth of berryish, spicy flavours, a gentle oak influence and smooth finish. As a drink-young style, this works well

Vivid, youthful purple-red; the bouquet offers a mix of redcurrant and earthy fruit, with only the barest hint of oak. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with attractive small red berry fruits. Simple perhaps, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Here's a bargain! American oak-matured for three months, the 1998 vintage places its accent on fresh, intense flavours of blackcurrant and plums, with restrained use of sweet oak. The colour is deep and brilliant; the palate firm and concentrated, with rich, ripe fruit characters and the wood well in check.
