Michael Cooper (2008 Vintage) says
The 2008 vintage was grown at two sites - mostly a mature vineyard in the Brancott Valley, which contributed 'richness and texture', supplemented by a young vineyard in the Awatere Valley, which added 'high notes'. Rich, vibrant and crisp, it's a highly refined wine with melon, capsicum and lime flavours, very pure, fresh and long.

The 2006 vintage is a single-vineyard wine, grown at Dillons Point, between Blenheim and the coast. Mouthfilling, with an unobtrusive splash of sweetness (6 grams/litre of residual sugar), it is packed with grapefruit, pear and lime flavours, deliciously fresh and vibrant.

The 2001 vintage, based on the 'most intense fruit', was grown at Rapaura and in the Brancott Valley, and 40 per cent of the blend was wood-fermented (in two and four-year-old barrels). It's a tightly structured wine with rich, ripe, tropical-fruit flavours, a very subtle seasoning of oak and a long finish. There is no 2002. The 2003 is very fragrant and appealing, with strong melon/lime flavours and a slightly creamy texture.

Medium green-yellow; a big, solid bouquet with slightly heavy fruit is followed by a similarly solid palate. The wine certainly has flavour, but doesn't have the crisp brightness of the best wines.
