Crab Farm Pinot Noir

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
The characterful, slightly rustic 2002 vintage was grown in Hawke's Bay and matured for 18 months in French oak casks (30 per cent new). It's a distinctive expression of Pinot Noir - firm and flavoursome, earthy, plummy, spicy and peppery, with overtones of Syrah and slightly chewy tannins.

Michael Cooper (2000 Vintage) says
The 2000 vintage was grown in Hawke's Bay and matured for 16 months in French oak casks (30 per cent new). Deeply coloured, it is mouthfilling and tannic, brambly and spicy. As a gutsy, flavoursome red, it works well, but it shows only limited varietal character.
