Cradle McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon

Cracka Value Rating

Cracka Review

These 2011 McLaren Vale wines are looking great, which means McLaren Vale faired much better than most other regions in Australia. This more medium-bodied style of cab sav shows lots of cassis, plums and mocha on the nose, along woth a hint of star anise spice. The palate is a tad tight, with appealing dark berry and choc-coated plum flavours, some fine and subtly grippy tannins, and a taut, spicy-edged finish. This will benefit from further cellaring, or a good decant before dinner.

Winemaker's Notes

This McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon is a vibrant red in colour, the nose carries tones of blackberry and blueberry fruits with a hint of chocolate. The palate carries elements of black currant and plum, with a liquorice edge. The wine is finely structured with balanced tannins and acidity, it is ready for immediate enjoyment but will also cellar brilliantly for up to 7 years.

Alcohol: 14.3%
