Craggy Range 'Noble' Riesling Rapaura Road Vineyard

Cracka Review

Vivid yellow gold colour. Aromatically a mixing bowl of dried apricots, orange rind, pears, mango and spicy ground ginger. The palate is rich and viscous in style, with flavours of marmalade, dried fruit, cardamom and gingerbread. The hearty residual sweetness is balanced by a combination of fine acidity and a soft powdery texture. Finishes long and rich with an abundance of flavour.

Craggy Range Wine Reviews and Accolades

“…light golden straw yellow in colour, with a very full rich nose of very ripe citrus fruits, apricots and massive marmalade botrytis aromas. Very sweet, rich and lush, this was full of decadent floral, citrus and honey flavours, on a seamless, very finely textured, soft palate with super fine acidity. Perfect balance and flow through the palate, subtle, nuanced and long on the finish. There could be no improvement to this wine." - 20/20, Raymond Chan, 2010

Craggy Range 'Noble' Riesling Rapaura Road Vineyard

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2006 Vintage) says
A refreshing difference here; this is a botrytis-infected sweet wine made from two-thirds sauvignon blanc and one-third riesling, all sourced from Craggy's Te Muna Road vineyard in Martinborough. Tropical fruits, gentle grassy notes and plenty of fine gravelly minerals, the balance is superb, finishing pristine, crisp and juicy.
