Australian Wine Companion 2014 Edition 2013
James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Sourced entirely from the home vineyard planted in 1987, the clonal mix increased in '93. Bright, clear colour, the aromatic bouquet with red cherry and spice to the fore; the powerful palate has abundant cherry and plum fruit with fine, persistent tannins drawing out the finish.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Fractionally deeper purple than the standard wine; another dimension altogether; best vines, wild yeast, best barrels, constant TLC; has intense plum fruit, but it is the mouthfeel, texture and length that make this so good.
Australian Wine Companion 2012 2011
Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
The top-flight pinot from Crittenden is an altogether richer and more brooding affair. It heads into earthier territory, with more emphasis on savoury rather than fruit characters. There's fresh-tilled earth, forest-floor leaves and bracken, some freshly dug beetroot and meaty elements too. The palate has density with elegance. A classic pinot in shape and style, it should be at its best in some years yet.
The Good Wine Guide 2012
James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
The massive, non-eco-friendly bottle does accurately foretell the high quality of this effortlessly bright and silky wine, which flows smoothly from start to finish.
