Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2004 Vintage) says
The 2004 vintage of this Hawke's Bay wine was hand-picked at Fernhill, whole-bunch pressed and stop-fermented in a medium-style style (9 grams/litre of residual sugar). It's a pale, crisp wine, lean and flinty, with the flavours of limes and Granny Smith apples and firm acid spine.

Michael Cooper (2003 Vintage) says
Full-bodied, with lemon/lime flavours, the 2002 vintage of this Hawke's Bay wine offers some richness, with a hint of honey and dryish, crisp finish. The 2003 is a distinctly medium style (15 grams/litre of residual sugar), with fresh, limey flavours, balanced for easy drinking.

Michael Cooper (2002 Vintage) says
Full-bodied, with youthful lemon/lime flavours, the 2002 vintage of this Flawke's Bay wine is less scented and vibrant than the better South Island Rieslings, but offers some richness, with a hint of honey and a dryish, crisp finish
