Crossroads Hawke's Bay Talisman Red Blend

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
A blend of several red varieties whose identities the winery delights in concealing (1 see Malbec as a prime suspect), Talisman has long been estate-grown in the Origin Vineyard at Fern hill, in Hawke's Bay, but now also includes fruit from the Gimblett Gravels. The youthful 2009 vintage was matured for over a year in French (85 per cent) and American oak barriques (all new). Weighty and rich, it is very dark, with dense, ripe plum, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent complexity.
