Crossroads Vineyard Selection Kereru Road Vineyard Merlot Cabernet

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2009 Vintage) says
The 2009 vintage is a strapping (15 per cent alcohol) Hawke's Bay blend of Merilot (70 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30 per cent), estate-grown at Maraekakaho and matured for 14 months in French oak barriques (58 per cent new). Muscular but not heavy, it has dense, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, French oak complexity and buried tannins. Powerful, fleshy, very rich and supple, it's a youthful, super-charged style, deliciously lush and smooth.
