Crossroads Winemakers Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Cabernet-dominant wines are what Hawkes Bay is good at, and this one from Crossroads certainly ticks all the boxes. Medium-bodied in style, smells of dark berries, ripe plums and hints of spicy oak rise from the glass, whilst the palate is elegant and slinky, with bright plummy flavours, talcy tannins, and a long, smooth finish. Roast red meats would be great with this!

Winemaker's Notes

An elegant wine with fruit notes of blackcurrant and blackberry on the nose, supported with toasty oak. The palate shows concentrated berry and plum flavours with fine supple tannins. Excellent match with New Zealand grass fed lamb and beef.
