Jeremy Oliver (1998 Vintage) says
Green-edged, minty/menthol aromas of blackberries, plums and cedary/vanilla oak, before a dusty, herbal and modestly oaked palate of sweet cassis and raspberry fruit that finishes with firm, astringent and under-ripe tannins.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple, with some signs of early development. The bouquet is fragrant with a mix of peppermint and eucalypt aromas, the palate likewise light with a mix of sweet and leafy/minty fruit.

James Halliday (1992 Vintage) says
Full red-purple; a powerful, rich, briary/earthy/dark berry bouquet and an equivalently powerful and concentrated palate with near-identical briary/earthy/dark berry flavours; the tannins are in balance in an impressive wine in Henry VIII style. Retasted October 1996 and looking, if anything, even better than when first tasted a year previously.
