Dalwhinnie The Hut Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

From a good Victorian vintage comes this medium-bodied value beauty from world-renown producers Dalwhinnie. This is a true medium-bodied shiraz, sourced from Dalwhinnie's coolest single vineyard, that shows smells of dark plums, deli-meats, savoury earthiness, and a sprinkle of dried herbs and white pepper on the nose, whilst the palate is elegant with fruit and savoury flavours, a solid line of fine tannins, and some soft spice on the finish. This would be great with meatloaf and fresh veggies.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Dark cherry red, shiny and bright with great clarity.

Nose: A spicy-herb note with rhubarb fruit and earth complete a beautiful perfume.

Palate: Medium weight, the attack is tight and savoury with fresh juicy cherry/rhubarb fruit and a pleasant dry finish. Almost Pinot Noir like in its structure.

Cellaring: A great example of a medium bodied elegant Pyrenees Shiraz. Enjoy now or over the next couple of years.
