d'Arenberg Stump Jump Red

Cracka Review

The nose is full of ripe and juicy red fruits and fresh plums mixed with dark cherry, rhubarb and cardamon. The palate is approachable with juicy fresh red berries, mulberry and a hint of pomegranate.

Underlying the generous fruit is a more subtle layer of plum stone, star anise and cinnamon which adds complexity and interest. The soft powdery tannins provide a gentle finish.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
A spicy, grenache-driven southern Rhone style with a sweet fragrance of earthy cherry, plum and blueberry aromas with a restrained hint of oak, Juicy and forward, its flavoursome and powdery palate finishes with lingering dark fruit flavours refreshingly framed by lively acids and fine tannins. Pleasing elegance and brightness.
