Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
A dark and sweet-fruited wine, offering red and black fruits, briar and licorice; the palate is thickly textured, warm and compelling, with the concentration and depth of fruit to satisfy lovers of rich, heady grenache.

Nick Stock (2010 Vintage) says
The second edition of this sub-region grenache bottling offers attractive, bright, spicy red and purple fruit aromas, with a thread of lovely mountain herbs too; essence-like intensity. The palate has ripe raspberry and cassis flavour, bright, assertive tannins and a long, fresh palate with essence-like concentration and drive. A touch of licorice through the finish.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Polished and detailed red fruit bouquet, with clove and Provenal herbs on display; medium-bodied and almost silky in texture, with fine-grained tannins and an even-fruited finish.

Nick Stock (2009 Vintage) says
One of the new wines added to a fairly extensive range, this single-district wine has a subdued red-fruit nose, some wild raspberry, light lilting perfume and laid-back style. The palate's fine, elegant, light and juicy, very pure and precise, with composed nutty tannins and fine, mineral-flecked cherry flavour through the finish.
