WINESTATE (2011 Vintage) says
Light, spicy/grassy bouquet and simple sweet tropical fruit salad palate. Good length.
WINESTATE Volume 34 - Special Edition 2011
Jeremy Oliver (2009 Vintage) says
Honest and varietal, with fresh, lightly herbaceous and dusty aromas of gooseberries, lychees, melon and lemon Sherbet over a hint of minerality. It presents a chalky palate whose initially round and juicy presence of melon and passionfruit-like flavour does finish with clean, lemony acids, but without genuine length and persistence.

Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
Assertive herbal, leaf and nettle fruit on the nose with a lime leaf and passionfruit undercarriage; the wine has striking character - quite edgy. Plenty of volume in the mouth, there's strong citrus and tropical flavour and fullish texture pushing right through.

Jeremy Oliver (2008 Vintage) says
Rather vegetal and cabbagey, with some candied, tropical aromas over a whiff of capsicum. Showing some under and over-ripened fruit, its juicy, confectionery palate of tropical flavour lacks genuine length and brightness.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Full of character and flavour in a rich tropical fruit spectrum, finishing with bracing acidity.

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Fresh, crisp style showing cut grass aromas with a mineral-like lift, followed by a nicely balanced, herbal, varietal palate.
Winestate 20082009
James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Water-white; crisp, fresh, unembroidered wine; mineral, herb and a touch of tropical fruit.

Jeremy Oliver (2007 Vintage) says
Pretty, ripe and uncomplicated, with punchy, if slightly confectionery, herbal aromas of gooseberries and lychees. Round and generous, it's oily and viscous, with cassis, gooseberry and lemon-like fruit finishing slightly cloying and lacking true acid definition.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Extremely rich; tropical gooseberry and passionfruit flavours; just a whisper of oak.

Jeremy Oliver (2006 Vintage) says
A broader, rather confectionary sauvignon blanc whose lightly grassy, tropical aromas of passionfruit and melon precede a rich and juicy palate. It's very generous, with a hint of capsicum and a little spirity warmth, but finishes clean and a little austere.

James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Gently tropical, faintly smoky, bouquet; plenty of flavour in a soft style.

Jeremy Oliver (2005 Vintage) says
An honest, vibrant and grassy sauvignon blanc whose intense gooseberry/passionfruit flavours burst their way down a long, juicy palate that finishes with mineral cut and definition. There's a pungent, sweaty aspect to the aroma, while the finish is long and tangy.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Clean and fresh; no reduction; passionfruit and blossom; good length and drive to the palate; fresh finish.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
Pungent, sweaty, musky and herbaceous, its aromas of melon and gooseberries precede a rather confectionary palate lacking its typical brightness, that finishes shortish, lean and slightly metallic

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Simple, straightforward sauvignon blanc with herby, grassy aromas of lychees, passionfruit and banana-like estery undertones. Broad and generous, with sweet passionfruit and herbal qualities, it finishes rather flat and lacking definition, with suggestions of green cashew and talcum powder.

James Halliday (2002 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; the crisp bouquet offers a mix of herb, grass and gooseberry, the palate with excellent balance, length and a particularly good aftertaste. A surprise packet.
