De Bortoli La Bohème Act Two Yarra Valley Dry Pinot Noir Rosé

Expert Reviews

Tyson Stelzer (2013 Vintage) says
A core of pinot noir provides creamy softness, sangiovese and nebbiolo add grip and the influence of old barrels provide savoury complexity. The result is a pale and refreshing rosé of generous, fleshy mid-palate and taut, focused and finely textural finish, alive with flavours of pomegranate, watermelon and pink pepper.

Tyson Stelzer (2012 Vintage) says
Brilliantly crafted rosé that perfectly captures the freshness of rose petals, pomegranates and guavas, gliding seamlessly through a soft, enticing palate. Texture is built through sensitive use of wild fermentation in old oak barrels and stirring of the lees (dead yeast cells) after fermentation. The result is an alluring mouth feel and lingering aftertaste.

James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Pale salmon-pink; the spicy bouquet is followed by a well-balanced palate with a reprise of the spice of the bouquet accompanied by small red fruits; scores for its delicacy rather than power, needing a touch more acidity on the finish.
