Expert Reviews

James Halliday (1997 Vintage) says
Complex toasty/nutty aromas and flavours in the tradition of this style, but a drier finish than usual.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
A quirky style unique to De Bortoli in this country, but with parallels in Sauternes. Golden bronze, with complex, biscuity, dried fruit aromas and flavours. The power of the wine all but obscures the modest amount of residual sugar. Strongly recommended as something out of the ordinary.
