De Bortoli Sacred Hill Syrah Dolcetto

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

If you are looking for a red that is smooth, soft and inviting, you have arrived at your destination. This shiraz dolcetto blend from De Bortoli is a medium-bodied, sweetly-fruited number that is full of ripe berries and fruit crumble smells, along with touches of soft spice. The palate is juicy fruity with a kiss of sweetness, ultra-soft tannins, and a bright, mellow finish. It's only 8.5% alcohol, and is perfect for chilling down on a warm day.

Winemaker's Notes

Sacred Hill was inspired by the name given by a local hermit to the low rocky outcrop that overlooks the Riverina plain. The hermit, who now has almost mythical status in the region, inhabited a cave in the hillside for many years. Sacred Hill has won awards at major national and international shows including Best Value awards. Leading wine writers have extolled the exceptional quality and value of this popular brand.
