If you’ve not given a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc a whirl before perhaps now is the time. This wine from De Martino is made with fruit from exceptional vineyards in the Casablanca Valley that enjoys cool sea breezes. It’s as refreshing as a sea breeze on the palate too with plenty of citrus and herb notes. The wine feels crisp and lively with keen acids and persistent flavor that would pair well with a goats cheese salad.
This wine impresses from the start with an acidity and minerality that stands out from the crowd. As with previous vintages the aromas of citrus fruits and herbs come to the fore, intertwined with a mineral slant. On the palate the wine fills the mouth, and again the acidity shows itself to be a defining characteristic, especially as it is 100% natural. Fresh, balanced and with a long finish this wine is sure to please.
