Nick Stock (2008 Vintage) says
A blend of 70% chardonnay and 30% pinot noir, this is the first edition with Shane Nolloway s base wine in the mix. It really sings, with lemon and pear, peach and nectarine fruit aromas, hints of red fruits too; very bright. The palate s built on a core of bright acidity and delivers mango, peach and nutty autolysis, good power and drive from concentrated raw materials here.

Made, obviously enough, from 100% chardonnay, traditionally fermented, and hand-disgorged. Is a lovely example off Tasmanian blanc de blanc style, with a mouthfeel that is at once feathery yet juicy, citrus and brioche to the fore. One glass will lead very quickly to another.

This has complex, bready, yeasty elements and some savoury wild florals; lifted, with apple pie and citrus. The palate has a bright acid drive, very assertive, deep and sizzling intent, really lithe and juicy, terrific concentration and layered complexity.

Has attractive stone fruit flavours, but is not particularly complex.
