Jeremy Oliver (2011 Vintage) says
Beautifully presented, stylish and layered, this measured young pinot will flesh out and build color and depth over time. It's charmingly floral, with a lightly spicy bouquet of sweet red cherries, raspberries and rose petals backed by fresh cedar/vanila oak, Elegant and fine-grained, with a subtle presence of pristine small red berry/cherry fruits and smoked bacony influences tightly knit with fine-grained oak, it's supported by firmish but pliant tannins.

Hand-picked, open-fermented, and matured in Burgundian coopered French oak, the wine has red-purple colour, and a powerful, layered palate with black cherry, plum, French oak and firm tannins all intermingling. Please give it a few years, as it needs to loosen up. 350 dozen made.

Good composure and ripeness on the nose with an edgy floral, fragrant lift. This is a wine that has plenty going for it in terms of complexity, even at this young stage; give it some air. There are bright cherries, red plums and raspberries with a lick of oak spice and a herbal thread. The palate s smoothly textured with lithe tannins supporting crunchy cherry and plum flavours; nutty, smooth tannin finish.

Elegant and mineral, with sweet aromas of red cherries, berries and cedary oak revealing just a whiff of varnish. It's long and fine-grained, with bright, translucent fruit tightly focused towards a slatey, slightly oaky finish, with underlying suggestions of dried herbs.

A convincing and complex wine that has plenty of ripe strawberry and cherry on the nose, hints of leafy complexity, a serve of cedary oak and some earthy nuances too. There's impressive tannin structure articulated on the palate - it's long, quite deep and very balanced. A strong example.

Some deeper, darker black fruits here, which make a resounding, brooding impression, and a really spicy, complex side with impressive, fragrant lift, gently meaty too. The palate has a resoundingly full shape, really well built with plenty of middle-palate summer berry flesh and cassis flavour. Nice freshness and a gently toasty finish. Shane Holloway has lynched the potential of this site in fine form.

Lively, bright and fresh spicy red fruits; good length, but is fractionally light on, especially given the oak level.

It changed hands recently, but Delamere has been a quality producer in northern Tasmania since 1982. This sure ain't lolly water. It's spicy and muscular, rich with dark, cherried fruit flavour, and savoury and grippy through the finish. Drinking it is a bit of a wrestle -in a good way. It wraps around your tongue and applies the flavours to it, its balance and complexity decidedly apparent. A robust pinot noir and a good one.
