Delatite Demelza Sparkling Pinot Noir

Cracka Review

The colour is a salmon pink and the nose shows beautiful fresh strawberry aromas whilst on the palate it shows tart red cherries/strawberries along with bready characters from 24 months ageing on lees. It is a wonderful aperitif and also has the strength to be pared with light meals and most entrees.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Backed by suggestions of lanolin, dried flowers and creamy undertones, this rather brassy, phenolic and meaty sparkling wine delivers a creamy presence of bright red cherry-like flavour, but finishes slightly short and awkward. It's waxy, evolved and savoury, but needs tightening.

WINESTATE (2003 Vintage) says
Ripe strawberry fruit nose and sweet, flavoursome, well-balanced strawberry and cream palate with plenty of length and a good bead.

Jeremy Oliver (2002 Vintage) says
Toasty, floral, buttery and creamy aromas are backed by nuances of honey, citrus and wheatmeal. Rather broad, thick and cloying, with crackly, creamy yeast-derived influences, its simple, buttery and rather herbal palate lacks its customary freshness and charm.

Elegant, fresh and crisp; citrussy minerally palate; bright, dry finish.

Jeremy Oliver (2001 Vintage) says
Very fine, elegant and creamy sparkling wine whose delicate, nutty and lightly tropical bouquet of citrus-like fruit precedes a smooth, crackly and fine-beaded palate of freshness and raciness. Just give it a little time on cork.

James Halliday (1996 Vintage) says
Light straw-green; a clean, bright and fresh bouquet with a hint of bready/biscuity autolysis and perhaps the 100 per cent Pinot Noir base wine; the tangy, flavoursome palate has length and grip, still fresh, and with brisk acidity.
