James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
The grapes were picked at various levels of ripeness, and part of the wine was barrel-fermented, resulting in a gently complex, well-balanced wine with flavours running the full spectrum from ripe to tart fruit, oak providing a little extra texture.

Jeremy Oliver (2009 Vintage) says
Modern, shapely and contemporary, with a smoky, lightly vegetal and almost sweaty, Loire Valley-like bouquet of white flowers, minerals and a suggestion of green beans. It's long, chalky and slightly crunchy, delivering a rather wild and funky flavour profile backed by lychee and gooseberry fruits. It finishes austere and savoury with meaty, wet slate-like nuances and taut, bracing acidity.

Jeremy Oliver (2008 Vintage) says
Fresh and racy, this long, austere and focused sauvignon blanc has a pleasingly tight shape and racy acidity. Its lightly grassy aromas of gooseberries, passionfruit and mineral undertones precede a long and restrained but mouthfilling palate with length and intensity. Underpinned by a fine chalkiness, it's perhaps a shade hard and steely, finishing slightly angular, with just a hint of squashed fruit. Definitely a food style.

Cleverly made, with several picking dates giving a complex array of flavours from grassy to tropical, which merge seamlessly on the generous, supple palate.

Herb, grass and mineral aromas; more lemon, citrus and passionfruit on the palate; good balance and length.

Jeremy Oliver (2006 Vintage) says
Varnishy, candied and angular; rather cooked, lacking freshness and syrupy. Suggestive of a stuck ferment.

Jeremy Oliver (2005 Vintage) says
Flat, stale, herbal and sweet; possibly the result of a stuck ferment.

Pale, bright green; harmonious aromas and flavours; gentle passionfruit, herb and mineral; long, fresh finish and aftertaste.

Jeremy Oliver (2004 Vintage) says
Herbal and lanolin-like aromas of gooseberries, lychees and green cashews with citrusy, apple-like and butyric undertones, precede a sweet, lean and slightly spiky palate whose rather sour-edged fruit finishes tight and austere, with assertive malic acids.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Intense floral and mineral fragrance of slightly nutty gooseberries and passionfruit with a distinctive herbaceousness. The palate is long and tangy, with vibrant varietal fruit and a slippery texture culminating in a lingering mineral and lightly phenolic finish punctuated by clean lemony acids.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Light yellow-green; the aromas are clean, fresh and crisp, with quite intense herb and citrus characters. The palate is refreshingly crisp, with similar herb and citrus flavours; a well-balanced, fresh finish.
