Here’s a Gris that’s all about texture and weight with essential aromas of pear, nuts and spice. It’s full and soft with ripe pear and a defined structure that’s clean and dry with length and persistence. It’s perfect with dishes like chicken or pork or equally drinks well on its own.

Winemaker's Notes

Pale straw in colour with green tinges. On the palate it is fresh, youthful and appealing with zesty melon aromas alongside some riper yellow peach. The overall impressions provided by this wine are crisp, clean and refreshing. There are zingy citrus flavours of lemon and grapefruit, with some subtle creaminess complexity, with a zesty refreshing finish. Drink now and over the next 3 to 5 years. The modern style Chardonnay is a wonderful example of the tighter more drinkable cool climate wines that are coming out of Australia. Try it with a serve just cooked scallops that are topped with a light creamy sauce and salmon row. It is also very good with ripe brie and pear.
