James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
A mix of sweet blackcurrant fruit and opposing savoury, almost bitter, earthy tannins and flavours. For the time being, the tannins are winning.

Jeremy Oliver (2003 Vintage) says
Ageing and rather herbaceous, with a slightly jammy expression of green-edged berry and cherry fruit backed by sweet cedary oak, it's medium-bodied and slightly short, finishing with suggestions of bell pepper and a firmish grip of tannin that appears rather excessive for its weight of fruit.

Jeremy Oliver (2002 Vintage) says
A smooth, fine and very attractive early-drinking blend with a light herbal aroma of sweet red berries, forest floor nuances and cedar/vanilla oak. Long and creamy, It's supple and restrained, delivering pristine, if slightly minty berry/plum fruit and lightly smoky oak with fine, tight tannins and refreshing acids.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Medium purple-red; scented, aromatic red and blackcurrant fruit are followed by an ultra-typical mint, berry and leaf-flavoured palate, with minimal tannins.

James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; ripe blackcurrant/blackberry/cassis fruit on the bouquet moves more towards mint and leaf on the palate, braced by crisp acidity. A difficult wine to point.

Jeremy Oliver (2000 Vintage) says
A lightly herbal, but stylish blend of elegance and balance. Its violet-like perfume of raspberries, red-currants and slightly meaty, cedary oak reveals nuances of dried herbs. Medium to full weight, It's smooth and supple, with a sweet and lively expression of small red berries, cherries and plums framed by fine tannins and restrained oak.

James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Light to medium red-purple; a light but fragrant bouquet with berry, mint and a touch ofleaf is reflected in the fresh, light to medium-bodied palate following the same flavour track, closing with good acidity.
