James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Rich and essency bouquet of cassis and mint; pushing the envelope of ripeness with a slight confiture aspect to the fruit; the tannin/acid balance pulls the fruit somewhat back into line, to leave a long and savoury finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2011 2010
Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2006 Vintage) says
Smells and tastes very nice. Identifiably cabernet but it's not rigid or imposing - there's still plenty of soft fruity flavour here. Blackcurrant, olives, gumleaf and sweet, musky oak. It all sits together beautifully. Has the quality to stand up to a special Saturday night dinner.
The Big Red Wine Book 2010/11 2010
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Combines freshness and vitality with generous blackcurrant and earthy fruit flavours; the tannin structure is excellent, as is the length of the palate.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Cassis and cedar aromas supported by well-handled oak; clean and varietal on the long and even finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
WINESTATE (2004 Vintage) says
Very refined and elegant style of cabernet, with minty cedary aromas followed by quite a sweet palate with tarry complexity and some obvious mint flavours. Creamy finish.

Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006
James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium red-purple; the bouquet has soft berry fruit and tobacco leaf merging with slightly dusty oak; the light to medium-bodied palate has berry, leaf and earth flavours; fine tannins. Simply needed a touch more fruit richness
Australian Wine Companion 2004 2003
James Halliday (1998 Vintage) says
Medium red; the bouquet is voluptuous, bordering on the overripe, but the palate is much better, lush and ripe, but not jammy; good length and overall flavour.
