A lovely, floral and pretty Riesling this one, drawn from the Southern Otways - which is a positively frosty (but beautiful) part of the world. Built quite firm and dry, this very sprightly wine is wonderfully dry and long with the sort of spine tingling acidity that every cool climate Riesling should have. Lovely wine
This wine is 100% Riesling, produced in a dry style.
Appearance: Mid straw with green hues.
Nose: An intense nose of lime and elderberry, with spice and lemon sherbet notes in the background.
Palate: The palate is also intense with elderberry and lime characters, and hints of orange rind on the back palate. A firm backbone of acidity runs along the wine which has a dry finish.
Serving suggestions: While great on its own this wine matches well with seafood, vegetarian and spicy cuisines. It adores Japanese dishes such as sushi and sashimi. Ideally suited to pork, poultry and veal dishes, it will also work well with creamy cheeses such as camembert or brie and hard cheeses such as cheddar.
